Hey honeybee...

Carnaval...

Carnaval... A true festivity in our town. My husband and I didn't grow up with this tradition but we like our children to go along with it. After all, who doesn't like to party all day long?

Naturally when carnaval approaches you start thinking about the costume. This year wasn't different. Since Jade still loves Maya the bee I suited me perfectly. I came across the Cocoon dress on several blogs and I already saw Jade flying around as a bee.

I wanted a 'hairy' bee so I chose nicky velours as fabric. The yellow colour wasn't that easy to find but luckily the well known 'stoffenspektakel' took place in Aalst. If you can't find the fabric there, you can't find it anywhere.

Jaaaaa, eigen kind, schoon kind. ;)

You have to admit, she's a real cute bee, isn't she? Yes, my child, beautiful child. ;)

Usually a bee is fond of honey although this bee prefers 'coco'. A real chocolate monster. Kind a think of it, it would have suite her better, I guess. (Note the chocolate in her hand.)
